I'd call it a 6/10, and that only because the environments were gorgeous and I liked Joel a lot. Though the story wasn't really special, I cared enough about him as a character enough to want to see where it was going.
The gameplay was serviceable. Level design was mediocre. AI was irredeemably shit.

I didn't enjoy the last of us. The gameplay was stale, the infected surprise gampelay thing was overplayed, you had to invest hours of really boring levels for some mediocre scenes.

It's funny, Uncharted 4 actually made me look back at TLOU with more contempt.
I quite liked the gameplay in TLOU, and to me the walking and talking and story bits didn't feel like they were taking up too much space, but with U4 I absolutely got that feeling. The story felt like it was taking up too much of my time and the actual gameplay wasn't fleshed out enough.
It's like with movie directors were you really liked their first films, but the more movies you see the more similar flaws you notice between them. Uncharted 4 made me realize what people dislike about TLOU.

Good, because that shit is stupid. Everyone should disable listen mode in the game options immediately upon starting, at any difficulty. You're only cheating yourself if you use it. You can already hear them just fine using your actual ears, and it's nice to have a little tension for when they scare the shit out of you every now and then
