Who excited for II.8 and 3?
Something I read about today:
Kingdom Hearts 1 originally had Sora as a half-lion, half-human who used a chainsaw-sword. The game was going to keep its light / dark theme and as well as the heartless, but the source of the heartless was going to be Chernabog. The final dungeon was going to be Bald Mountain. Also Sora was originally suppose to summon Bahamut as his final summon, as well as Woody from Toy Story.

Since we're on the subject. Can someone explain to me how Ventus and Roxas are connected? Is it because there's a piece of Ventus's heart in Sora's heart that Roxas ends up looking more like Ventus than Sora? Does Aqua see Roxas as Ventus or are we not certain on Aqua's views in this matter?

Roxas isn't generally considered one of the Lights and isn't fully back yet, though Sora believes he should be his own person. This is something that probably will be resolved in 3.

Ventus and Roxas look alike because of Sora giving Ven's heart refuge at the end of BbS. When Sora freed his and Kairi's hearts in KH1, Ven's heart was left behind in his body, leaving Roxas to look like Ven. Aqua has never met Roxas, so we don't know her thoughts on this situation.

Is Sora going to be the only playable character in III?
I feel like the climax/final boss would be a bit underwhelming if we aren't switching perspectives as we fight 13 fucking bosses. And after seeing the Aqua gameplay in 2.8, I can't imagine Sora controlling quite like that and it would be a shame to throw away that style after just using it for a tech demo

Aqua is playable in the prologue. I'm hoping there go down the Birth by Sleep path and make it about three characters, that being Sora, Riku and Kairi.

2.8 Final Chapter Prologue isn't KH3's in game prologue. Seeing has Nomura has said that KH3 will start with the Xehanort/Eraqus a couple of times now and he's recently said that you'll jump into KH3 fairly quickly I feel like we're either gonna start with Eraqus/Xehanort as a sort of flashback, Sora, or possibly Kairi as a tutorial.

So here's what I think will go down...
>Eraqus will be playable in the prologue, explaining why Xehanort fell to darkness and why he himself was blinded by light and also explaining the basic controls.
>Then flash-forward to Riku and Mickey who is currently looking for either Ventus and Aqua, explaining how worlds work and how to navigate them.
>Switch to Kairi who is training with Lea in the ways of the Keyblade, explaining basic one-on-one combat.
>Then finally switching to Sora who is completing his Mark of Mastery exam with Donald and Goofy, explaining boss battles and how partners work.
Terra is the Guardian and no one can tell me otherwise

We don't know when they will be a PS4 release. But if you want the classic experience go buy both 1.5 and 2.5 because they include all the Final Mix editions of the game fully translated.
