Criminal Justice is pretty much the most important part of college study regarding law enforcement. Detectives need them and so do SWAT. Also learning another language is super useful in the hiring process because it's a good skill.
Social skills when dealing with stressful people also helps so maybe there's something like that you can work with. Physical training is important as well. Firearms study is niche but appreciated here.

In Xenoblade Chronicles X, mediators are more or less police officers though you don't get to regularly arrest people and shit like you would expect with the True Crime games. At least you can get a police themed skell later in the game.

This seems like a bug that would happen on certain setups, this is what you get for playing shitty PC ports.
True Crime was always shitty on PC:
TC:LA has no controller support, ground textures don't tile properly, and weird audio and texture issues.
TC:NYC is very allergic to modern Windows, you can't even rebind the controls properly on anything newer than XP. From my experience breif playing it I didn't experience missing ground textures.
