Depends on the bar.
Some are quite comfy and do indeed have cute girls in them (usually with their boyfriends,you dork).
Others are gross and sketchy.
Most are just kind of boring though. Elderly alcoholics sitting around watching sports on a TV.

Comfiest bar I know is a large space with multiple armchairs, couches and fireplaces to relax in.
