Xenoblade Chronicles and XCX were horrible for me in this regard. Especially with having to constantly go back whenever you advance the story even a little bit just in case a new mission opened up that you'd miss if you didn't do it RIGHT THEN. ESPECIALLY with XC having the time system, which added a loading screen every time you had to change the time to find an NPC or whatever.
One of the reasons why I'd be so fucking happy if the NX went with cartridges. It's not nonexistent load times, but it's easily 2x as fast with the right slot.
