Hype is really just marketing. If a game is clearly pouring a lot of resources into marketing before it comes out, it's a safe bet the gameplay is at least a little lackluster.
Probably every sony exclusive to be honest. Theyre all extremely mediocre games with decent production values and thats about it. Xbox and nintendo is all thats ever been needed really.

Yeah those are garbage. But i like 3D mario, zelda, and mario kart. I dont even have a wii u because it looks so bad and the wii was really disappointing. But the gc was extremely well rounded and had the best iterations of any nintendo games ever. Ive always been more of a sega fan that jumped ship to xbox since thats where they went. Nintendo is shit now but i have good memories of them.

DE:HR didn't have THAT much hype/marketing, compare it to ads on the sides of buses for Fallout, or full on TV ads for Modern Warfare. I think the hype was much more internal, like if you cared to search for it the marketing was there, but it wasn't like you would happen to run into marketing out in the normal world. Like right now, there aren't ads for Mankind Divided, but if you check out their twitter, they have cool things going on like a real life prosthetic arm modeled in the DE style. It feels more like fan service than marketing.
