I always prefered kof over sf because characters look better and with actual personalities. Different from the stereotypical characters sf has. Kof stories are pretty good and deserve animes and a better movie. Gameplay-wise, I like kof combos and special moves, the team system, cancels and even the more specific mechanics. I like how the different characters changed moves troughtout the series, different from how sf keep the same moves its characters have had since sf2

Back when the arcades were at it's peak of popularity here in Brazil, groups of 2 or 3 friends used to share credits and each one of them would use one of the 3 characters in the team against the AI.
Also from the people I know they liked KOF more than Street Fighter because of how it was fast paced (but not to the point where it's a clusterfuck like Marvel vs Capcom).
