Why aren't there any games with realistic combat/dmg zones?

Why aren't there any games with realistic combat/dmg zones?

For example:
>gets shoot in the leg
>can still sprint

>gets shoot in the heart
>can still run around
>>
He he

niche interest
skyrim with mods?

Wouldn't be fun.

Soldier of Fortune 1 and 2
>>
Wouldn't you just die if you got shot anywhere in the heart?
>>
>>343451880
Every Fallout game
Many of the more realism-oriented tactical shooters such as SWAT 4
Dwarf Fortress
>>
>get shot
>become ceippled for the rest of the game if not dead
Bravo op brilliant game design
Btw operation flashpoint and arma games force you to only prone if you get shot in the legs, and your aim is fucked from pain from getting shot
>>
>>343451880
Kinda want a pet lobster now
>>
Red Orchestra 2 did this

>get shot in the heart
>die

>shot in the leg
>walk around slower and visibly limping

7.62 High Caliber has an injury system, something like getting grazed in the arm sucks. You can even lose conciousness.
>>
Games like Dwarf Fortress and UnReal World have locational damage

do not walk your lobster.
They're not good at moving on land, and they'll dry out and die in about 20 minutes on land.

Leave the lobster in his cool saltwater tank with aeration and feed him wet cat food and raw bits of chicken.

They fucking love cat food.
>>
STALKER has
>get shot
>die to death
>>
>>343452836
well most of the time it's just
>get shot
>die screaming in agony
so yeah pretty realistic.
>>
>>343453240
>tfw all this misguided hatred at snipper

It's not fair!

Red Orchestra 2 tried it with heart, stomach, lung and testicle shots being possible, but it ended being pretty pointless.

Although it was fun to get 1-shot kills through the heart when you learned the spot to shoot. Testicle shots were 1-shot kills too. Leg or hand shots didn't have an effect, though, other than a small temporary slow. Heart shots resulted in a gruesome gurgly death.

I recall the game was supposed to have in-depth first aid regarding the limb/internal organ wounds but it got disregarded somewhere in development when they ran out of time.
>>
>>343453353
Best part is it doesn't exclude the player either.
Can't count the number of times I've died instantaneously to headshots and how many headshots I've got on others.
>>
>>343451880
>Zimbabwe still having food
What?
>>
>>343451880
limb/organ emulation would have to be very "hardcore" and wouldnt work well with certain game genres.
think about how in your normal games where you can take 25% of your hp and its not a big deal.
with limb/organ damage emulation that "25%" of your "maximum hp" would likely be crippling to what ever body part is affected.
play warthunder ground forces, it does this but with mechanical components and crew members instead of limbs and organs.
>>
>>343451880
Because they're not fun
>>
>>343451880
These kind of games are surely a lot of fun

Because they're video games anon. If bullets were just as powerful as they were in real life, they would be OP as fuck.

>>343458092
Doesn't seem far fetched considering a lot of cat food is made from fish.

Too bad there is nothing like that for the player character himself.

Meanwhile, people on 4chan make massive compilation images with dozens of reactions to posts included. But it's cancer to include a single comment from another site.

>>
>>343460308
I'm not saying that it's not cancer, it is, but the original reply made the image worse, especially considering it has a username tied to it. Those shitty compilations of replies from here are also bad, but at least they're all anonymous and only really serve to show the impact of the original post. One single reply from some guy stating the obvious adds nothing.
