Final Fantasy XV won't be able to live up to the standards set by The Witcher 3, no matter how much weebs want to believe that it can even come close to touching it. I started trying new things out until I found a way to make the combat look fluid and not the same every time. It takes a bit of skill, of course you can hit x and then dodge back.. or you can actually put effort into it

I disagree. A game doesn't need gratuitous nudity to try and sell. It should do so for its own merits. Games that do are just shitty piece of commercializations that obviously cannot stand on its own and must resort to pandering to horny consumers in order to sell. This game is garbage and the fact that it is even a candidate for GOTY is what is wrong with the industry. When we can finally include everybody into the fold without making anyone feel uncomfortable or left out is when we can finally say the medium has evolved beyond the playthings of a child. Until then, games like these should be shunned and called out for what they are: degenerate pieces of filth that does nothing but mires our hobby in controversy and exclusions.

I think a lot of it has to do with how it all looks in motion. All of the trees sway with the wind and the grass parts as you move through it, so while individually each frame might have blemishes, the scene in motion just feels so right

Yeah I figured that as much, the swamsps weren't that terrible, most of the time I just ran past everything, just got annoying having to go through it many times for both chapters 2 and 3. Early on in chapter 2 I got a mod that let me meditate anywhere and a few other things, having to constantly run back to the inn to meditate to get a certain time of day was getting old fast.

Witcher 3 is a lot like a JRPG.
It's not a real RPG, its a collection of inconsequentially padded out combat sections while you follow a linear predetermined story. You have basically no choice or agency in the story like you would in a real RPG.
I interesting that Fallout 4 got criticised for this, not just by RPG fans but by the wider gaming press, but Witcher 3 committed the same sin and walked away with hundreds of accolades.
It only serves to highlight the fact that the RPG genre as a whole has been relegated to movie game status and lives and dies solely on the quality of it's graphics.
