If they're jumping through time willy-nilly why not grab ships from their "Modern" era, especially if their 23rd Century tech is equivalent to Post-TNG in the Primeverse?

Only one Server, to find RPers you need to join an RP fleet honestly, I don't remember seeing many people roleplaying in the open. Of course, I haven't played in about a year.

You get a free ship per 10 levels till level 40, when you get a "perfectly competitive tier 5 ship".
The only way to get tier 6 ships is by playing during some events and gathering special recommendation points for it in a specific activity during said event.
Currently a summer event on Risa is on and you can get a escort carrier for flying through some hoops with a jetpack.

Back in the days getting on RPers nerves was easy as anything.
There are these things called "sub-space party amplifiers" which are floating disco balls that force anyone near them to dance.
Then RPers whined hard enough and cryptic added a "Sub space party nullifier" which makes you immune to disco balls effects.
Particularly hilarious this stuff was during the time Leonard Nemoy died and folks gathered to Vulcan to pay their respects by circle jerking around a fountain in middle of a Vulcan town.
