>The Japanese trailer for the summer patch states that new Pokemon coming to the roster will soon be announced. The more tech-savvy trainers in the Pokken Tournament community have been working to scrounge up hints to find out who's coming.
>Members of the /r/PokkenGame subreddit managed to uncover new files tucked into the 1.3 update that reference Darkrai, Scizor, and Empoleon. The files that were found have matching Pokedex numbers, and names of a few moves each Pokemon are capable of using.
>The archive that these files were located in seems to contain supplemental files for various fighters and support Pokemon, so we can't quite say that the DLC is confirmed, but the lead does seem to be pretty solid at this point.
Looks like Nintendo doesn't intend to abandon this game like we thought.

It's pretty much the only well received Pokemon spinoff as well as selling on par with street Fighter 5 (while most likely having a smaller budget than it as well).
If they keep supporting the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series which always get middling critic reviews and get flip-floppy sales, it was pretty obvious they were going to support this when this became a success.

Dark Void seems more like the obvious choice for a support move. Scizor is the most likely playable character as it has a mega. Empoleon does have a chance at being the playable water starter though
So this game is actually good? I never paid attention to it because I thought it was just a cheap cash-in.

It's really fun but it just lacks content. The singleplayer is just grinding against NPC's until you unlock shit or meet a boss and there isn't many characters.
The characters thing is understandable but they don't even have alt colors or costumes
Hopefully they'll start supporting it with more stuff
