They also removed revolvers as a weapon class and made the weapon manufacturers have stupid gimmicks rather than interesting bonuses. Also they removed Atlas guns. Fucking hacks.
Example, in bl1 Hyperion guns are slick and super accurate. In bl2, they fire wildly like and unweildy penis for a few seconds before becoming accurate. And in bl2 Hyperion make sniper rifles. What is the point of a sniper rifle that becomes more accurate with continuous fire!? The weapons in bl2 reflect the EBIN writing in how shitty they are. Sure some of the legendaries are cooler, but the drop rates are awful even after gearbox patched the game to make good weapons more frequent.

What the fuck is the point of dealing like 30% more damage per shot than pic related when it has nonexistent recoil, a clip capacity of 16, is SILENCED which also means it does benefit quite a lot from the mister sandman perk and the general stupidity of the enemy AI. Only one SMG, it's immediately useless, for some reason the Combat Rifle is chambered in .45, the Assault Rifle isn't an Assault Rifle, it's a fucking LMG, there's no real assault rifle, then it becomes useless in higher levels like almost everything else, unless you have explosive rounds, like the minigun, which again, is fucking useless unless you have explosive rounds, there's no anti-materiel rifle, the hunting rifle with the .50cal modification is fucking shit, pipe guns are instantly useless, ugly and shit and everywhere, no pump action shotgun, the .44 is useless as we have established, laser and plasma guns somehow have recoil, and massive amounts of it too. None of the unique guns are actually unique, they just have regular Legendary effects applied, am I missing anything?

Sort of, there's a .22lr Skorpion pistol coming out soon, with the coat hanger and long barrel, it's made from modifying Skorpions, same goes for a .22 glock that's in the works. 22 rifles aren't that expensive, Nige is working on our gun laws, there's more 22 rifles than nearly any other ype of rifle, and you can get guns that act like semi autos, straight pull AR-15s, MARS action VZs and the Unicorn gun company's lever release rifles all effectivly imitate being a semi-automatic firearm. There's also loads of classic bolt actions, and straight pull modifications of things like AKs, M1 Carbines, Garands, loads of stuff. Join your local gun club and have some fun m8.

Because the USA was created through armed revolution. Since they already had that experience where the reason they were able to create their country was through a militia armed with everyday hunting rifles, they created the 2nd amendment to ensure that it could happen again if it ever needed to.
That was in a time when the standard was muskets so it made sense. Now that the government has fully automatic rifles, body armor, grenades, tanks, helicopters, bombs, drones, etc. it doesn't really mean anything anymore, but it's literally treated by many Americans the way Muslims treat the Koran just because it's in the constitution.

It's reasonable except criminals don't follow those laws and the weird stock and barrel length means British shooters can't take part in international pistol competitions. And it's common for people to saw the barrel and the wire stock down so much that people call the wire a "Chav coat hanger" as well as violent break ins have become more and more frequent since the handgun ban. Criminals import illegal firearms from Eastern Europe, they don't buy guns legally. The Dunblane shootings should have never have happened, the police knew he was a nutcase yet allowed him to have an FAC because the firearms licensing office is understaffed and underpaid. Having such regulation means spending more money and making it more difficult for respectable citizens to own firearms and making illegal purchases more enticing.
