It's a really distinctive tail, to be fair.
I think the core problem is that Godzilla one really has one major colour in his design, whilst most of the other monsters have more destinctive pallate, so monmusus are more easy to identify that way.
Having said that, the only one I didn't recognise on sight was Kiryu. Mech ones are a little harder to discern.
