OP, the point of the game is to explore every nook and cranny. Try to remember where locked doors or obstacles are so that you can visit them later. If you think the game is too short it probably means you didn't trigger the conditions for the "real" ending, which means you need to do more exploring!
It's an easy game (I beat it for the first time a week ago), but it was a great time; I couldn't put it down.
As a longtime fan (who never played SOTN), it was great seeing all the callbacks to previous entries.
Never understood this kind of thread, why not just play and find out?

Fun exploration, cool aesthetics, terrible balancing.
Despite its issues it's probably the best of the Metroidvanias. I'm more of a Classicvania guy myself, though.

One of the best games of all time, and the best Castlevania for many fans.
A short game. Explore everything and take your time. The final boss fight against Richter is ez desu senpai.
