Well fuck me. Nothing on the 3DS scratches that harvest moon itch. Rune factory is there, sure, but it might as well not even have crops outside of completing requests
And yes I know there ARE farming games in there but the devs got a "muh 3D environments" stick stuck so fucking far up their asses with a handheld that AIN'T THAT POWERFUL instead of just focusing on sprites and adding actual fucking content

Honestly I loved this game for the farming, foraging, fishing, even the mine. But the whole social aspect of it just really fell flat. It just felt so bizarre proposing and "dating" someone. Someone accepts to be your girlfriend, they then go about their business as usual. Talk to them and they say "hi" and then keep walking. Give them the mermaid pendant and they say yes, and again, keep walking. You can't even talk to them again for the rest of the day.
I just proposed to this person and she's just gonna stand there? I go and talk to her parents and they're just like "make sure to water your plants you nerd", like fuck, you say that shit every time i talk to you
Makes me wish the whole dialogue thing was more fleshed out - like you could make friends with people by doing more than just throw presents at them. It feels really unnatural but I get it, it's a game. I just wish there was more depth to it. Inviting people over for dinner or hanging out with them (that ISN'T an event checkpoint cutscene), doing activities with them, etc.

Get your fishing maxed with the fishing price perks and to to the lava lake in lvl 100 mines. Lava eels are rare, but just two of them should be more than what you can grab in a day fishing in a river.

To add- When I looked at the game it was clearly meant to have writing. The guy just didn't know how. If he doesn't care that's fine. Still that's a rich environment that's nearly a writer's paradise.

It's not Harvest Moon at all. You tried to tell all of us that it's better, but it's not. I could easily play Harvest Moon 64 and have a better time.

It hasn't had any updates since April.
The updates prior were no huge additions either just quality of life things, and new dialogue options, changing the properties of certain items, fixing bugs, etc.
Mods are adding in things slowly.
I don't follow it a whole lot so the dev is either working on the ports, or is making more content. More than likely ports if he is still working on his own.
