My favorite thing that's happened in recent memory is me and Suguri were both on the verge of winning. I was 2 spaces away from my home with a warp on the next space, and she was a space right behind me. Suguri is one of the shittiest characters in the game because her performance is almost completely based on RNG. People who don't know how to play the game play her because instead of losing every game they lose 49 games and then win 1 with some crazy RNG (Like rolling 12 to attack on her hyper to steal a game) and then think she's good because of how flashy it is when all the stars align in their favor.

Except getting a guaranteed 6 is way better than rolling 2 die. The only time rolling 2 die is better is when you're already losing so it's ok to risk the possibility of getting a bad roll, but even then Sora's hyper is better because being able to pick which space you land on is extremely helpful. Also you have to remember that Suguri typically needs to roll well TWICE to attack someone with her hyper because she needs to run into them as well. If you whiff your hyper it puts you so far behind that your chances of winning are way lower.

Suguri is the ultimate scrub character because people are convinced she's mathematically superior due to 2 evade. but having 4 HP and -1 def makes her squishy. she dies practically half the time she's in battle.
People are also convinced her hyper is amazing because of how much it overkills but really all it's good for is getting a single guaranteed win against another player, which you can do with a lot of other hypers that aren't as expensive.
Also she's one of the starting characters so everyone has her unlocked, that helps too.
Basically everyone who is bad at OJ uses her. She's actually the worst of the four starting characters. Kai has better stats and Marc/QP both have far more useful hypers. Suguri is just walking death and she completely fails as soon as the boss shows up.
If people you play against are using Suguri too much, put Gift Exchange, Assault, and Oh My Friend in your deck to really fuck them around.

Except like I said. If someone kills you, you are already losing. If someone else kills you again that's bad yes, but you've already lost half your stars and don't have much more to lose. Being able to revive instantly gives you the chance to get your stars back and come back. If you're playing against smart players a 50-100 star lead from killing you combined with you being behind that many stars pretty much means always losing unless if you can revive and do something about it right away.

The problem is that if you're winning, you can go from winning to losing really hard because a train of other players decides to fuck you in the ass one after the other and now you're down those 200 stars you got. Unless if you have something like 300+ stars your situation isn't going to get much worse after dying more than once. Not only that but you're assuming people are not only lined up to fuck you from behind and that they'll be able to kill you. They could fail a movement roll, you could defend the damage to 1 health, or you could evade the attack. The chance of that happening is very low in comparison to the chance that you will be able to attack your killer again soon (Which is just based on movement rolls).
Getting farmed feels bad for sure, but it's not actually nearly as bad as you think it is.

The thing is, it usually happens to me. You have 2 HP. The other guy only needs to roll a 3 to have a chance to kill you. With +1 attack, that's pretty damn likely. With +2, it's guaranteed. I know, it assumes you roll a 1, but either way you're at a disadvantage. But maybe I'm just butthurt because this happens to me in every single game I play her. It's just a constant train of people or bosses or other things destroying me, then someone else picking up the scraps.

I like Sora better just because of no -1 to DEF and her hyper is overall more useful. Often times you don't need a 10+ ATK roll to take down an enemy and getting 7s is enough. Not to mention if there's a home space you want to land on that's exactly 6 spaces away, you can use it there if you can afford it. Also, it screws over Sham's hyper which is situational, but useful if the time comes.

Honestly probably Fernet or Sherry. The devs know Fernet is good because they've been nerfing her and her playstyle since beta and she's still good. Sherry is just dumb.
The thing is that some characters can get a lot better/worse depending on maps + map modifiers so it's kinda hard to say 100% sure. Also Fernet's worst match up is against Mariepoppo who isn't even that good but is ridiculously overplayed, so that kind of makes her worse in a way. I still stand by that Sherry and Fernet are too strong compared to a lot of the cast though.

The best part about Yuki and Fernet is that even though you would think Yuki is the character who would be aggressive and offensive, Fernet actually has a better chance of killing Yuki in straight up fights just because she lasts too long and eventually Yuki will have to eat up a 4 or 5 from Fernet which she can't mitigate well.

Well, it's not awful if you keep your bunny butt out of trouble and use warp panels and Dash and stuff to position yourself well. Playing Aru is 90% controlling your position on the board. This involves playing smart and, occasionally, doing things like attacking people for the sole purpose of staying behind them.
Both Star Breaker and Sweet Breaker also tend to make people use their cards up a little more quickly which frees up their hands for Present. And Star Breaker's hyper doesn't affect you AS much as other people since you're tied for best evasion score in the game.
It really could be worse. Personally I'd rather be Aru than Suguri or Hime against the Breakers. She has absolutely no need of combat and plays best when she's far, far away from everyone else, minding her own business, which isn't true of attack-based characters.
