I'm about to start a play through of this with some bros. I want to play selkie but apparently they suck ass and aren't viable.
If we have one player playing every race should the selkie go magic or go with physical attacks? I'm not a min/maxer but I don't want to drag the team down either.

Selkies are mostly a Charge Attack class. Their defense sucks so you might wanna' up it a bit to where you can manage blows from enemies and then start to focus on strength.

Yeah. It decreases the casting speed by 1.5. With Yukes their casting is almost instantaneous.

You might want to stick to physical. Magic stat just increases the magical attack power. Selkies casting time is fucking balls and Lilties' are even worse. (from what I recall)

Yes and no. Like with what >>343335992 said, you'd be missing out on some REALLY amazing time with friends. The difficulty tends to spike up later on in the game and it can be a fucking pain playing alone on top of what class you play as. Not to mention the frustration of Mog getting tired of carrying the chalice every so often when he's not prepped for the right weather conditions.
Still I'd say it's worth playing imo.

I think the set-up was some shit like having one GC hooked up to the TV with CC in it.
Attached to that GC are the GC to GBA connectors, which plug into other GCs that have the GBA adapter attached to them. Those GCs are running the GBA player discs, are attached to their own respective TVs, and have a single controller plugged into them for input.
Mind you, there's no reason to ever use this setup unless you're trying to record multiplayer footage of Four Swords Adventure with everyone's screens on display.
