Beyond that, I've never understood the people that say it is just like the end of Bioshock 1. Using the little sisters in Bioshock 2 felt nothing like that. It was short little waves of enemies that maximized the adam you could get. You carry the little sister around, so no slow trog behind their stubby little legs, and all in all it just gave you more of the excellent gameplay that made Bioshock 2 so good.
In addition, Bioshock 2 had the best story of all three. A story so good that Ken Levine stole it for Bioshock Infinite. I'm honestly flabbergasted that no one has noticed that Ken took the story from two and added an idiot's understanding of quantum mechanics to create Infinite. It's madness.
