I mean, I play warframe on console and played a decent bit of DC:UO with my friends that didn't have gaming PC's on PS4 a while back. I also know a decent amount of people who play FF14 on console.
I think it's a welcome shift, the more people that have access to/play MMO's the better

I've probably posted this beforehand, but this seems to be an issue of the client being outdated or somewhat fucked up in the EU/NA versions, as the game can get 60 FPS up to level 40 dungeons for me on preset 5 with a 9600 GT (512 MB) and Athlon II X4 640 (3.0 GHz) on both the KR and JP versions.
Now this could either be from a ghetto rigged anti-bot thing that doesn't even work, similar to maplestory, or god knows what the fuck.

I have 0 understading on why this would happen but I assume the client has gone trough major changes and the NA/EU version have just added content instead of re-translating and mustering everything over.

It's usually because NA localization teams are incompetent. In order to minimize programming workload so they don't have to hire programmers, they maintain parity for the international versions, only implementing translations and graphical 'localization' changes.

I assume the PS4 version will be handled with the JP/KR team working together so I'm going to guess that it'll run swell and that the UI system might actually be replaced (and not only the PS4 as well) for further comp-ability in the future.

The PS4 curbstomps my specs into the ground already, if I can get a decent performance with my garbage specs I'm pretty certain you could just slam my copy of the game into a PS4 and have it run perfectly, and that's without the NEO as well.
All in all I hope they do implement cross-play, I've found PSO2 with vita-players to be a pretty nice population booster.

My old ass non-gaming laptop is able to run PSO2 just fine on low settings, even though it is barely runs Warcraft 3. You should at least download the benchmark to try it out (the benchmark is slightly more demanding than the game itself).The game is shit, anyway. PSPo2 and PSOBB are better (even though ep.4 was shit).

PSO2 is alright, I really feel like they should've sticked to the gamestyle and gameplay of PSP2i instead, I had too much fun with my friends racking up amazingly high chains, PSO2 itself feels a tad bit too floaty.

I've played Warframe on PS4 and it's fine. There's an active playerbase and the controls feel good so I don't have any complaints.

Combat is fun, the mmo parts are typical mmo parts. The biggest problem was poor optimization. If they are actually fixing this, it could help the game population greatly.
