Get the N3DS XL. Do NOT get anything else. You'll regret it.
The vanilla size is way too damn small. Don't fall for the pixel density meme, the XL is a lot better. And going from the XL size to a regular size just doesn't work. It's not worth it.
Once you go XL you can only do XL.
