Where the fuck is a steam sale thread? Daily sale just refreshed.
Dragon Commander is on sale for $5. Lowest it's ever been. Worth it?
>Where the fuck is a steam sale thread?
Steam Sales have been bad for a while now, the deals just aren't as good as they used to be.
>>343308069
>steam
Not in a million years.
>>343308150
Plus they aren't even having new sales every day, it's one giant list of sales and each day they highlight different ones with no price difference.
>>343308314
>>343308167
edgy
Hey guys, which should I get, Stardew Valley or Darkest Dungeon?
>>343308150
This somewhat.
No daily deals or flash sales to look forward too, so if the game you want gets a shit sale then that's it until the next one. I haven't even found anything worth buying. I was looking forward to picking up three games once they dropped their price, but the sale is terrible. One is 15% off, another is 10% off, and the last one didn't even go on sale.
I know part of it is the fact that I've bought a majority of what I want, but even then. Without any special deals outside the main sale there's nothing to look forward to or check back for. Grab what you want day one then move on. Nothing else to discuss.
>>343308501
Do you want a comfy Harvest Moon copy or a RNG turn-based slog through dungeons?
I'd recommend Stardew personally, but I'm biased due to my love for anything resembling Harvest Moon.
can anyone give me tips on good games?
>>343309139
Good games? Id suggest you buy some of those
>>343308650
Well, I guess you have a point there.
Also It's cheaper and will let me get more games.

>>343309485

>>343309310
(you) know what i mean
I feel like I bought everything good/low priced on the sale. Really enjoyed Hotline Miami 1/2 but jesus fuck that story got ridiculous real fast.
>>343308069
Does anyone else use the steam sales to just find and buy the classic games they played as kids/teens for about $2-$5 and then occasionally play them for the sake of nostalgia?
>>343308069
I got 20$, I need a new multiplayer game to play. What do you guys recommend
>Pls respond
Is much better without daily/flash, you just put every game on wishlist and check what you will buy, instead of checking everytime.
What would you pick?
>>343309667
i bought "sid meier's pirates!" i was alot more fun in the past though so i refunded it. i have alot of good memories of that game though.
>>343308069
is dragon commander good? I'd like to know too. Almost pulled on that one a few times myself.
bought bulletstorm despite my hatred of GWFL
once I got it running it ended up being a great game
Maybe the most Japanese western game I've played? I don't mean anime but the attack scoring, point system, comedy and over the top action really reminds me of stuff like Vanquish (the MC even looks like Sam a bit) Binary Domain
>>343309485
Asscreed 2.
That's it.
>>343309894
I guess by Japanese I mean the level of audacity would be annoying in most games but it's done with such an amount of sincerity that I don't mind at all
>>343309735
neither tbqh
>>343309843
Main campaign is for like 15-20 hours. You can feel during the game that there used to be additional mechanics or content, but it was all cut out during production.
I liked it. Combination of risk map with RTS (but with fixed points for base building) as well as decisions make on your ship (which race to support) plus action sequences when you transform into a dragon - all of this is actually fun. But you know that something is missing.
I got it myself for something like 2,5 EUR and would still recommend it. Worth 5-10 in my opinion.
>>343309843
I liked everything about it except the actual battles
Picked up Rocket League last night, not thinking it'd be much of anything. But holy fuck, it's amazing. Doing a season just to get the hang of it, and suddenly it's been two hours. Just wish my fucking controller wouldn't randomly pause the game while jumping.
>>343309485
Asscreed. You cant go wrong with 2 or 4, 4 is cheaper and a bit more varied in gameplay so I'd personally go with that
>>343309485
Black Flag is a fantastic game
>>343309735
Planet Explorers looks really cool but the reviews turned me off of it so I haven't tried it yet
Beyond Earth isn't bad if you know it's effectively a Civ reskin but you should get the ocean expac with it

buy the black flag one, being a pirate is fun and story is actually good.
Are there any hidden gems in this sale?
>>343310316
Titan Souls isn't worth the time.
Killer Is Dead has lots of style but very little substance.
Can't comment on anything else.
>>343310317
most of those are pretty niche i doubt anyone here has played even half of them
>>343310316
Would make a decent $4 humble re-bundle
Prototype or Alice: Madness Returns?
I do not mind weak combat if it has good everything else.
What's the best multi-player game out right now?
>>343310316
road redemption and killer is dead are both great
uplink is a good game if it appeals to you
>>343308069
I only spent about $10 this sale (Ethan Carter, ROM, necrodancer), instead of buying more shit will work on my backlog. Fight me faggots! Nu
>>343310505
Prototype is a fun edgelord OC character simulator
>>343310259
>Beyond Earth isn't bad if you know it's effectively a Civ reskin but you should get the ocean expac with it
Thats kinda what I plan to do. I was thinking over if to get this or Pandora instead, but reviews and discussion board turned me off for a single reason - AI got so agressive that it hurts. Also, dumb as hell, catching up with massive buffs.
>Planet Explorers looks really cool but the reviews turned me off of it so I haven't tried it yet
I actually would buy it for lower price. It would be fun to play some sci-fi themed sandbox with voxels, but not for this price.
Sadly, GRAV turned out to be complete disaster. At least I didnt wasted too much money for it (6 EUR).
>>343310505
Prototype is really fun
>>343310505
Prototype is fun to dick around in, but gets pretty tedious and tough towards the end. Alice has lots of style and is alright. Nothing amazing though.
Really depends on what you want. They're very different games.
Is the Divinity Series good? Which ones should I go with
>>343310806
> Tedious sanbox shit
> Fun
You what mate?
>>343310505
Prototype is just running around and eating people with your sword arm and shit. i dont know much about alice but it has to have better story at least
Recommend me games under 35€
Im in the mood for some fast paced action games, but a nice story driven game would also be ok.
>>343310898
the core combat is repetitive but it's not that bad
i think you can rush through the the main story pretty quickly and everyone should experience karate kicking helecopters and meteor dropping from the highest points you can find at least once
Please, can someone offer me a copy of Portal 2? I know, i know "why you want that shitty old game bastard?". I wanna play co-op with my gf. She has the game and I don't, so please be kind and send me as a gift? Thanks so much anon

>>343310828
All of them are good, but in different way.
Divine is kinda like if you would mix Ultima with Diablo - very fun, basically open world, lot of interactions. Chances are that you will still perform actions in "optimal" order, but you have little restrictions overall.Magic is OP but Mage is worst class - you can easily increase max mana by other methods
Divinity 2 is much more linear but still cool and fun to play, 3rd person RPG. Less interactions, pretty dick move with finite XP and mind reading that eat said XP, so better hceat a little and check the list of NPCs beforehand. Steam comes with expansion that pick up cliffhanger from base game, too.
Original Sin seems open world at first, but is just as linear as Divinity 2, yet have well made combat system based on action points. Devs had nerfing spree in the past, so every fun combination of skills/traits/etc probably dont work anymore, but game is still worth playing. Had around 80 hours with it, loses momentum after first half, sadly. Didnt play "remastered" edition or how it was called.
Dragon Commander is fun, but short, combination of risk-like TBS, RTS (with fixed points for making bases and heavy tied with decisions on risk map, so focused nearly completely at combat), a bit of VN (waifu, generals and council decisions, who to support and such). Had a lot of promised content removed, tho and it shows.
All games are worth playing, in my opinion. Cant really compare, since each one is different gene, but I would start wtih cheap ones myself.
>>343310828
Please

Personal nice recommendations
Runestone Keeper — great roguelite / minesweeper game. Looks simple at first, but there’s a surprisingly interesting and challenging gameplay in it. 80+ hours and counting for me. Can’t have enough.

Desktop Dungeons — coffee brake roguelike with puzzle elements and huge replayability.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/259680
Battle Brothers — medieval fantasy turn-based RPG / RTS with surprisingly deep gameplay, fantastic atmosphere, and promises of it being even better game after EA is over. The best turn based game I played in 10 years.

The Talos Principle — first person puzzle made by Serious Sam devs. Smart and interesting challenges, with profound story and beautiful world.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/257510
Antichamber — first-person puzzle that doesn't play like Portal 2 at all. It's a mind-bending game, that makes you throw away preconceptions and prior experience playing video games and think differently.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/219890
Lovely Planet — Super Meat Boy from first person perspective with colorful world and VERY challenging levels. A speed run game.

Infested Planet — take control of a squad responsible of purging huge amount of xenos in a top-down realtime strategy. Has that Aliens / WH40k vibe.

Jets'n'Guns — absolutely fantastic and rad SHMUP with ridiculous number of levels, enemies, jets and guns. Gorgeous soundtrack by cult power-metal group Machinae Supremacy.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/262260
Shadowgate — very well done remake of an old Macintosh adventure. Just the game to spend dull winter evenings in almost pen-n-paper atmosphere. Good experience for those who love the genre.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/294440
Silent Storm — RPG made by Russians, set in the WWII / post-WWII world, with ridiculously good and smart turn based system, and total destruction of almost anything you can find on levels. Rare game to have Axis story arc in it.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/254960
Pix The Cat — a VERY good variation on a classic ‘snake’ formula. Huge replayability, addictive soundtrack, and co-op designed for parties.

Duck Game — imagine Smash bros. with ducks and huge variety of different weapons, destructible environment, and a dedicated QUACK button. Must have for parties.

Hammerwatch — probably the best Gauntlet inspired game that has ever came out.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/239070
Devil Daggers — addictive arena shooter with surprisingly great atmosphere and audio/visual design (if you’re into it). Geometry Wars from first person. Go and beat 500.

The game could've been considered 'complete' almost a year ago. If it wasn't for Early Access title, you wouldn't even figure it out. It's this good.
On the side note, I don't understand what people have against Early Access games. I have like 30 of them in my library, and the only one I regret purchasing is DayZ. Indie titles are very good with handling their EA games nowadays. Yeah, there are few bad ones, but, like, 80% of all EA games are good enough to buy on their own.

>tfw I have 1031 games on steam, haven't even't finished 10% of those games, and have 436 more in my wishlist
>tfw I will never ever clear my backlog
>mfw I realiseI haven't even redeemed all my indie bundle keys yetPLEASE SEND HELP

nice blogpost
I bought tons of games and already refunded them. Why isn't anything fun anymore?
>>343315968
> Fatal Frame
Never tried. Just played Layers of Fear and looking for something similar.
>>343316161
Cause you need to smoke some weed
>>343316118
Thanks. Please don't forget to like, subscribe, comment and retweet.
I post a new blog almost every 10 minutes on /v/, so be sure to check back soon.
>>343314462
Verdun kind of sucks, it uses unity engine. I'd just get Insurgency or something else instead
>>343311038
Sent it. I also threw in HuniePop for fapping material becaus your gf will probably leave your broke ass soon.
>>343316182
Less of a walking sim/haunted house sim but yeah. The only reason I'd say avoid Dreadout is if you hate jumpscares but Layers of Fear has a bunch of those too.
>>343316161
What genre do you like?
>>343309718
Vermintide.
If you like Left 4 Dead, it's a spiritual sequel in the Warhammer Fantasy world.

>steam sale just refreshed
The sales are always the same, they just put different stuff in the spotlight.
You gay fag.
>Put up summer card for sale
>"You haven't logged into our Proprietary Phone App(tm) for [x] days, so you might have to wait for it to go up :)"
>wat
>Fine, whatever
>Open phone app
>Wait, what was my password again
>Try what I think it is, Steam app just sits there
>Doesn't indicate if it's wrong or not
>...okay
>Log out of PC Steam, request password change
>Get code
>Change password on PC, try to log in again on phone
>Does nothing
>...why
>Look it up, no fix besides 'try again until works'
>Try again x20
>Nothing
Is there any point in phone-based security if it's so secure the user can't gain access?
>>343316583
Nice, I'll give it a try then.
Can you recommend me anything similar?
>>343309843
i love it. one of my favorites. really unique experience, lotta diffferent genres at once
you'll wanna be playing it for the politics and conversing with crew members, though, that's the best part of the game
>>343308069
What are some comfy rts?
I like stronghold played aoe.
How is company of heroes with the dlcs?
I have also banished.
Is Lords of the Fallen worth $10?
>>343316927
what about 8-bits armies?
>>343316927
Get Wargame
>>343317106
It's shite. OpenRA is loads better and free.
>>343316927
Try World in Conflict for a great story (though no base building).
Anno 1404 is super comfy
Sins of a Solar Empire is one of the greatest.
>>343317209
Which wargame is the best?
>>343316927
Warrior Kings Battles
>>343317351
If you want Multiplayer, Red dragon.
Is it true that CS:GO pretty much pays for itself through drops you can sell?
>>343315795
2 days and i can trade
>tfw u already own all the games you ever wanted after years of humbru bundru and steam sales/kinguin
No feels, no regrets, im free from all sin and salehoggin, i miss the flash sales though
What are some good rhythm games?
I really liked patapon, necrodancer and rhythm thief
osu and audiosurf not so much
>>343317475
if you get a case the same night it's released you can sell for $6-10, but that happens like every 2-3 months AND you have to know a case released AND you have to get lucky with a crate drop AND it has to be specifically the new case
>>343317475
If you can get pass daily CYKAS and BLYATS
How's Project Zomboid?
>>343317475
No.
Skins that drops during matches are rare and sells for like 0,04-6. Cases require you to buy keys for ~2 USD/EUR and its pretty much gambling - 95% of drops are usually worthless trash.
I suggest to just play and ignore this gambling completely.
>>343317001
No. Boring, bad and with Denuvo.
>>343313202
Thanks anon.
Bought Shadowgate from GOG the other day as it looks comfy and old-school.
Devils Daggers looks great too. Weird stylised shooter.
Is this ok?
>tfw I probably won't get them all because I can't afford it
indie games are win. picked up terraria and stardew valley today
trading thred:
>>343317867
>don't feel like buying anything because I'm trying to get through my backlog
What should I buy?
Someone recommend me a good coop game that we can play together please and thank you
i'm really tired and want a comfy game to play, like stardew valley
maybe some cosy as fuck RPG that'll run on a toaster
theres too much to choose from i don't know what to waste my money on
So, is spore nearly as cool as it sounds?
>>343318019
Nothing and play your backlog?
>>343318035
same machine or online?
>tfw you have 2.99 from selling cards and running idlemaster
>max payne 3 is 4.99
h-hold me
>>343317663
Dance Dance Revolution, Dance With Intensity, Beatmania
>>343318136
Exactly what I planned on doing. Been playing Witcher 1.
>>343318035
>we
Who?
Anyway if you have the patience and tenacity of a saint try Forced.
Reminder to buy games separately so you can refund.
just bought the divinity bundle for $5 what am i in for?
Layer of Fear or Soma?
>>343318035
Double dragon neon for 2 players
Maybe borderlands 2 if it doesnt bore you to death
>>343311975
It's more sophisticated space Minecraft with both creative and survival
I enjoyed it for a while, 7,5/10
What are some great obscure FPS titles?
>>343318174
Well, how far is it from that?
>>343318347
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
Is Mount & Blade really that good? I was watching some gameplay videos and it has a shit artstyle, limited roleplay, and the combat seemed clunky.
>>343318229
Some good fucking games.
>>343314231
Just pirate it and buy it once it's out of early access.
Just be aware that there isn't much in the way of content beyond the battle system and upgrading your troops.
Not buying anything cause all the discounts are shit.
>>343318460
It's an old game now.
>>343318254
Both
>>343310998
anyone?
>>343318460
Do you mean M&B Warband? I bought it recently and sunk about 20 or so hours and honestly, it's kind of a hassle to play. It's just too damn grindy.
>>343318642
can't afford both
>>343318140
online
>>343318201
it looks bad but thanks....
>>343318254
>>343318771
Neither. Waste of time.
