Can we talk about how great this was?
My only complaint is the puzzles were easier than Limbo. Everything else was top notch.

Normally I'd say yes if it was your typical action shooter but this game is art.

Artsy video games represent the most shallow and simplistic shit I've ever seen.
Do you want to know why modern critics love it? Because they're stupid. These games beat you over the head with a message, or alternatively just design a clusterfuck that is intentionally vague, and then go for the cheap knee-jerk emotional blows that will trick you into thinking that it's something special.
But how does it go about this? Nobody actually knows what the fuck the story is about, because the game doesn't have a story. What are the themes? Again, there is nothing, just a disparate collection of scenes that seem to imply something that isn't there allowing pretentious idiots to argue online about the meaning. It has the in-built defense that if you didn't like it you didn't "get" it, when nobody got it and there's nothing to get. It's for stupid people.
Something like Planescape Torment is infinitely deeper and more complex, but critical analysis of that game would require you to actually play something more than 3 hours long and quite a bit harder. The mentality that "games are growing up as an artistic medium" only demonstrates the ignorance of modern critics to the many phenomenal pieces of art from the past that also still worked as games.
tl;dr - game is dumb and for twats.
