The problem with Alucard is his ass is so far above the power level scale of any playable vidya character that I can think of he fucking breaks it.
I mean shit, without the restraints and restrictions he has on him he is basically an Eldritch Horror from beyond the stars. A withering mass of fanged maws, eyes, and black blood type shit. And at the end of the series he basically is just that. Some nightmare Mythos creature that exist but does not exist. So he is everywhere and nowhere.
The only game character you can play as of the top of my head that could possibly beat him would be Asura and even then only the version of him Prior to Schrodeninger.

Original Anime has its charm really. It has more of a spooky and mysterious vibe to it even if it is less action oriented than Ultimate is. Its art style and sound track do it wonders together.

The episode where Seras is hunting down a traitor and Alucard is hunting down a snuff film using vampires and it leads them to the same place is a pretty good one. It was kinda cute how Seras had been fighting drinking blood until that point, then she sees Alucard drink the blood of a living human woman and Seras just runs home and drinks a ton of blood, like seeing that turned her on or something.

Alucard always seemed weird to me in that regard. I get that he respects people who have the strength to be human, to go old, and to keep on living and he doesn't like it when people give into the temptation of becoming a monster.
Yet he still allowed Seras to become a vampire. When she didn't really have to die at all (vampires have ridiculously precise aim and the priest was taller than Seras).
I get that he respects her for having gone through hell throughout her life and still having the will to live, but it still seems weird to let her become a vampire then given his general stance on the matter.

Alucard is incredibly overrated. The only impressive things about him are his "immortality" which is really just a massive fucking barrier of souls and his regeneration. His actual physical feats themselves are fairly unimpressive compared to most vidya characters. Here's a character that is the perfect counter to Alucard. One of his feats is absorbing ALL the souls in Makai (which is a dimension much bigger than Earth mind you) by merely raising his hand in the air and turning it into a dimension. Jedah can simply absorb Alucard's souls and butcher him.

Going by fluff and lore Elder Scrolls is actually insanely OP. There are loads of Multiverse level reality warpers (examples being the Gods and Daedric Princes) in the ES verse. Even without taking lore into account characters like the Nerevarine are actually quite impressive (not reality warper level or anything but still). Not only is he/she a master warrior with superhuman strength and speed and mastery of all types of weapons, but also has access to a MASSIVE array of magic, including alchemy which lets the users fortify his/her stats to OBSCENE levels. Anon cut the shit. Only 2 of those fights were at all worth writing home about. The greatest problem with Hellsing is that it tries to be an action oriented anime, when most of it's characters are completely overpowered.
It's fucking Naruto tier plot armor too. Angel!Anderson should've absolutely been able to kill Alucard, it makes no fucking sense that Alucard just randomly won.

He did tell her that all the sunlight should mean to her now is a slow painful death. He also insulted Anderson's judgment for taking a vampire on at night.
So the sunlight at the very least is painful and weakens them in Hellsing, but it doesn't straight up kill them. Probably extended exposure without protection isn't good.

Sorry but I disagree entirely. I think the plot and characterization is important and it lends itself well with what fights they are. And there's not really an express reason why Alucard should have lost to Anderson there. He lost will to live more than anything. His final shot at having a climactic battle to the end with a human just went up in smoke.
The only really bullshit thing about Ultimate is that Alucard came back in the epilogue. He should have stayed dead/non-existant. Him coming back at the very last minute was silly considering how focused the ending was on moving on (Seras being the new Alucard, Penwood and co. replacing Integra, Heinkel replacing Anderson, etc).
