I love this game, it's fast but not entirely blazblue or guilty gear with the mechanics. It feels more grounded despite probably being even more "anime" than those two games combined. I play this game once in a while with a cuople of my friends and I win maybe a third of the matches against them. One of them plays as Mirkava or whoever and it's a fucking nightmare, the guy has a full screen grab that does as much as a combo and it's active forever. It's impossible to get in on him.

Unless you want to pick up a secondary for the matchup, hit the mizuumi wiki and read up on as much as you can on akatsuki. Learn him and merkava inside and out so there are no surprises and you can be more confident with what you can and can't get away with in the matchup.

Well there's not really a story mode persay.
The story is told though the arcade mode. Most of it kinda doesn't make sense unless you play though almost all the characters arcade mode. This isn't like say Relevator being a sequel to Sign story-wise while being the same game. The story remains the same regardless of version. Although new characters of course get a arcade mode for their story.

Consoles have their own solutions for networking which uses their own servers, like XBL and PSN, which is not trivial (or maybe even allowed) to mess with for cross-platforming.
