The guy behind the twitter account is one Aaron Webber, or RubyEclipse as he's known on a few other places. He used to work at SEGA for marketing beforehand, but left for a bit, until he came back as the "guy who shitposts on twitter" under Sonic's account. The whole idea (allow Sonic to banter on twitter) is probably under the idea of those fags, and was probably what got SEGA to greenlight it in the first place, but the tweets are made by Webber.
I mean, think about it this way: a marketing firm most likely wouldn't do pic related. It would get objected by some butthurt fag before they post it. A single guy who has the reins of the twitter account would - there's not really any objections except for himself (and now, one other guy).

The levels were more traditional platformers instead of being giant mazes/labyrinths with forced exploration that was shattered crystal. If you thought medal hunting was bad in unleashed, you havent played SC. You need like, 90% of the game collected to continue and theyre in more obscure spots than the sun/moon medals EVER were.
So the forced exploring is gone and more traditional 3 minute levels are back, you can choose to blaze through them or look around more with different characters abilities. There was also some side stages. One was kind of like a boost game. 3D, really fast. But youre just switching paths so you dont die. Another was a short submarine level with tails. It was a little clunky but not bad at all. Maybe forgettable at best and dont stack up to the main stages but it was alright on its own. The boss fight also made good use of the fire and ice mechanic and character swapping and speaking of which, the fire and ice mechanic is very smooth and adds a little more flavor to the game. Switching back and forth is easy and intuitive.
Overall it was a good time, went in with low expectations and came out very surprised. Its not the game everyone wanted and it will sadly probably sell bad because its a boom game, but biases aside, its a fun spinoff that isnt broken or loaded with bad design choices. If youre a fan of the show and need a sonic fix for this year, its definitely worth picking up
