Ladies and gentlemen, your 2016 GOTY.
LEAVE GOTY TO ME
I love the cover.
Should I just buy 999 (and play it on my 3DS) if I want to get into the series?
>>343244334
who is this fluid druid?
>>343244990
YES
>>343244990
Yes. 999 is a fantastic game, and you really need to play the Zero Escape series in order.
Testing... is this device working?
Is there any reason I shouldn't buy this for PC?
>>343244990
You'll enjoy it a lot, the story starts fast and never lets up and has one hell of an ending. VLR too.
When you get to it, ZTD is a huge leap forward in presentation from the first two games, the cutscenes are directed really well; the camera angles, zoom ins, cuts etc. add so much more than just static portraits or models.
>>343245358
Nope, looks great and is much, much easier to move around with the mouse than stylus or D-pad.
>>343243978
If you own the 3ds version of VLR but never touched it. Is it worth it to buy the Shita version instead? Heard the 3ds port was bad
>>343245437
Excellent. I come bearing... news. News of a future you have yet to live, yet has already come to pass.
>>343245610
Nah, they were patched out unless it's a launch copy IIRC. But Vita may run better regardless.
>>343245610
Contols better with the stylus, but looks worse and if save your game in either the PEC Room or Crew Quarters, it could become corrupted.
That's it.
>>343245242
Loud and clear.
Except the 3DS version. Speak up.
How much story does it have? I don't want to play another movie game.
>>343246136
The first game's about 30 hours,
The second's about 40 Hours,
The third's about 30 hours.
But then that all depends on how fast you play them, so take that info and add or subtract 5 to 20 hours to all of 'em.
>>343246136
Might not be for you but the cutscenes tell the story in a much fresher way than the first two games.
But it has a lot of puzzles and throws you right into them expecting you to have played the first two.
kinda spoiler question?where do you get the answers to the force quit boxes?
>>343245242
>>343245809
And by that I mean, talk louder.
>>343246691
>>343246892
>>343244990
If you want to get into the series, emulate 999 first~ Or buy it (to support), as long as you play them in chronological order of release~
>>343243978
>GOTY
This is literally more movie than game, even less gameplay than MGS4.
>heard Sugita was in ZTD
>see 999 at the local EB and figure it was fate
>spend all night playing it and love it
>buy VLR and start playing it
>continuously stumped by the secret passcodes
>can't participate in the ZTD discussion for fear of spoilers
I wish I knew this series wasn't shit years ago
Can I skip the second one?
>ZTD
>GOTY
But it's shit
>>343247556
Definitely not
>>343247556
You can skip the first one too, but you'll still miss out on some background. I would recommend playing all of them.
>>343247556
As long as you're content with it harming what you get out of the story in the third, sure.
Soundtrack playlist's up guys~

DAMN BRAT STOP BULLSHITTING ME
>>343247509
You need to essentially play all routes
>forty US dollars
is the 3ds version this much too?
>>343248543
All versions are $40
>>343243978
Garbage movie with trash graphics and plot nonsense.
Is there at least a recap for VLR? I don't want to buy a 3DS/Vita just for that game
>>343251547
There's a shoddy one in the (granted, free) booklet.
>>343251547
>being interested in the 3rd game of a story-based series when he hasn't experienced the 2nd, and heck, wanting spoilers for it
Why would you want to skip a perfectly fine game? Just wait for a 3DS emulator or the inevitable PC port and play something else
