rx 480 is better than 980 in dx12, vulkan, and mantle games. in dx11, it's on par with the gtx 970. For 8GB models as low as $200, it's a insane value.

In fact, the 970 seems to have the least problems with GTA5. Everyone has been complaining about an update destroying performance lately, and yet it runs fantastic for me, and likely many others with it.

This literally never happened and thats not how vram issue looks. I'm speaking as a guy with 970 who only experienced vram bottleneck once in lords of the fallen. The game still ran at 60 fps but experienced micro stuttering whenever game accessed that shitty 0.5gb part of vram. The rest of vram still works as advertised and games don't suddenly dip into 20 fps, learn to shill retard.

I had a regret, when I was playing GTA5 and the FPS suddenly dropped to 10 FPS. Turned out it was some error with the custom radio causing it instead, and never happened again when I disabled it.
