I grew up during literally the entire spectrum of the home console golden age.
Too hard for me to pick a favorite.
Probably the Wii U, just because Xenoblade X and Pokken were two of my dreams come true. Along with its other great games, it just barely edges out over the Gamecube, which defined my childhood.

I got a PC in 1997 and with Voodoo and Nvidia/Ati PS1/PS2 became a joke for me. It was just action games and jRPGs.
Menwhile on PC I had online with Starcraft, Diablo, Half Life, Call of Duty 1 and so on...
So SNES to me was the console I enjoyed the most. After that I was and am a PC fag.
Strategies and FPS beat out whatever consoles has to offer these days.
I also pitty you Americans with your shitty Purple blocky snes.

As for my singular favorite, the PS2 sits on the top of my list. Lots of games, plenty of variety. Backwards compatible for even more games. Gamecube is a close second, if only for the memories of all dem multiplayer games.
But really I've loved every console I've owned so far EXCEPT the Wii U. I just didn't get much out of it.

It would've not been much of a deal if I hadn't been playing C&C Renegade of PC.. a local TV program reviewed both halo and renegade on same episode. I kinda forgot that renagade was "not halo" when I initially got the renegade, I had fun with it.. but when I finally got halo??? I remember "oh, this was the game they hyped the most in that episode!"

FF, God Of War, Gran Turismo, Ico, SoTC and DMC never got an xbox port
not saying it had a bad library of exclusives, but you missed out on a lot of it was your only system
