The horizontal slash is something he ALWAYS gets in a stance for in the manga because it's a move you'd need to brace yourself for. In the Musou it seems instant.

The spin though, it looks dumb. His feet just glide on the ground and he doesn't brace for it similarly to how he should for the horizontal slash. When he does that move in the manga and the PS2 game he's off balance at the end of it. In the musou he just turns his back to the enemy as if to say "nothin personell".
And it seems velocity increases with the strikes instead of slowing down which would be realistic. In the manga and ps2 game there is a lot of emphasis on Guts always composing himself after a strike to keep himself on balance, meaning his strikes slow down after he throws them. In this musou he just slices at full speed as if the sword weighs nothing and then stops when the animation is finished, with no apparent stress on his body. Which again is retarded because the sword weighs like 200 pounds.
It's just a weak adaption animation wise. I envy you for thinking it looks okay.

Berserk is so good because the source material is amazing. You can't translate all that there is in there, it would take more episodes than One Piece has. It's displays a very introverted perspective that you can't capture well in animation.

For all the controversy over with the animation, I was still hyped for seeing Rosine's backstory animated, along with the Holy See knights following the trail of bodies Guts leaves behind.

This was the coolest part. To this day I still feel like Guts should get more recognition than he has as being one bad mother fucker.

I love Beserk but I hate the art style. A mature story like this deserves an accompanying art style, not some anime bullshit. The series would benefit if Miura did the story and leave the artwork to a western artist.
