KH2: Final Mix and Birth By Sleep are very good ARPGs at a mechanical level.
You just gotta learn to ignore the cancerous story surrounding all of it, but luckily you can skip cutscenes in every game.

I can get through games where the story is kinda meh when the game play is great, but fuck me man, that series just reeks of cringe. I might of liked it had I given it a chance when it came out, but probably not.
If 3 turns out to be any good, I might give that one a try, but currently I'm just not interested.
