>When asked if the team misses the cartoonish styling of their Crash and Jak era, Josh had to say this on the matter:
"No, I don't, because we've got an amazing team of people making some really expressive performances with our current stable of realistic characters. I mean, animating the stylised stuff is a lot of fun, but the stories that we're trying to tell right now are a little bit more grounded and a little bit more grown up than they were back in the Jak and Daxter days."

>defend this shit /v/
Okay, just because the games are no longer made for you doesn't mean they are bad.
You can find plenty of "cartoonish" games form other devs
I play games to escape reality, fuck realism

This is what you get from this post?

Sorry, I have low standards and a love for black dick

Still more interesting blocking mechanics than Dark Souls.
Most of the people that are in charge of the studio weren't even around for the Crash or even Jak and Daxter era.
Druckmann joined Naughty Dog during the development of Jak 3.

I still can't believe someone got paid to make this.
>>343211165
Why not? It's cinematic. It's a movie scene. Loads of people get paid to make those.

Rafe literally did nothing wrong. Sam is the real villain, and Nate was just enabling him. I wish the game had brought THAT up, since they were trying to be so serious.
Rafe wouldn't have tried to kill anyone if Sam was constantly trying to fuck him over.

>"grown up mature stories"
>can't even write something that isn't picked apart for the bullshit that it is
Amy was right to leave.
Naughty Dog has always just followed the money. Always.
After linear 3D platformers lost steam, they made a open-level collectathon. Then GTA got popular and they turned it into a GTA clone. Then 3rd person shooters and QTEs got popular and they made those. Crafting, simple stealth, escort missions, very simple stealth? Put it all in the market-researched pot.

One of their first games was a really shitty RPG
>>343213613
Were those not massively popular in the late 80's/early 90's?
>>343213140
Let's not forget that their first game was a Mortal Kombat clone.
The worst one actually.
what's to defend? instead of making platformers they're making action adventure games with industry leading performances. get over it
