Actually, I work for a headhunting agency and streamers are literally the only types of people that most tech, gaming, and related companies want for marketing, advertising, and community interaction positions.

If someone legitimately derives pleasure from this stuff then good for them, but most of the streams I watch seem to be people putting on "zany" personalities. Anyone who can remain genuine to themselves and gain the viewership of a large group of people, power to them.
I guess the bigger issue I would take is that a lot of them don't seem to take the idea that they are working themselves into a niche that very likely won't exist forever (or if it continues to exist, their fame will wane. The idea of someone spending millions on a mansion with a $50K tax obligation on temporary income is utterly baffling to me.
