Bought Mario Kart sealed for $1 from a thriftstore with the original price of $50 still on the factory-wrap.
Imagine my surprise when I come home to find my piss-yellow SNES with Mario Kart in it plugged into the TV and my little nephew fucking playing the shit out of it. Garbage-can has the plastic wrap and crunched up box in it.
Asked him where he found it (shelf was too high up) and he said his mommy grabbed it for him and told him to go play games.
The fucking kicker was that I already had an old copy of Mario Kart beside the SNES.

nice. retro games are gone in my neighborhood. all thrift stores and flea markets seems to be either cleaned out, or only have scraps that are overpriced.
good thing I was an assistant manager at funcoland from 99-2003. we still sold snes, nes, and genesis carts. I remember buying e.v.o. for 27.99 and got like 25% off of that with employee discount. I remember earthbound was 34.99. megaman x3 was like 39.99. I remember any snes game over 15-20 dollars was a big deal.

maybe use pricecharting. they are the legit site for what shit actually sells for. but I don't think they have eurostuff. maybe use ebay then mark it down 10-20% off of what something has actually sold for. that's the legit street price imo.
