Is that from something? The whole "bring me a rats tail as a show of courage" thing?

Or did Final Fantasy make it up?

Has anyone ever considered even for a second that there are aspects of video games that do not resemble real life, either for the sake of convenience, the circumvention of difficulty present in reality, or the creation of difficulty where would be none, or perhaps a simple oversight?

I'm pretty sure this is an extremely original thought guys, I expect at least 10,000 (yous) on this post to reflect that, unless someone else can come up with an even crazier novel comparison between video games and real life. Perhaps someone might find some interesting implications about Mario and his rampant consumption of hallucinogenic mushrooms.

Truly we live in a brave new world of fresh ideas, and we are not confined to this cramped hell of repetitive memery, as if the entire Internet was autistic and we're remembering the same fucking day over and over even as our foreheads crease and our hands wither? Can humanity itself even escape its own bear trap of a circle of repetition of observation, comment and forget?: Is this post not just another part of the cycle? Are we all echoes in the cave? Rebounding off the walls and mistaking our voice heard back as another man? Could we even bear to hear the sound of another, original thought?

I love you DotHack but come the fuck on.

5 gold is several weeks of food for someone that lives in destitute. JRPGs have for some reason made it comparable to modern currency and that has tainted the view of gold's worth

Really? My GM is being a bitch and a day's worth of food is 15-20 silver.

What the fuck, 5 copper then you autistic cunt.
>>
>>343190071
I never said my view was based on /tg/ or western rpgs. Gold is overly plentiful is western rpgs as well and I have no idea what gold is worth in /tg/
>>
>>343190238
Depends on your life style. A bum can live off of a few copper (albeit uncomfortably) a day. An aristocratic life style is as much as 10 gold a day

That quest actually made me really sad. I felt Patrick Bateman wandering around Vizima and stomping on random dogs.

well if he's saying that it probably means everything else is inflated along with it
meanwhile in history a roman soldier earned 225 denarri a year and they were expected to pay for their own food and equipment
