Textures etc are at ultra.
I didn't expect this to work this good. My toaster is 2.5 years old and runs BF3@Ultra.
What makes people to buy new components for vidya so often?
Kiera looks oilier than I remember, good for you though anon

Probably raining when the screenshot was taken. It makes everybody and everything look oily.
>>343188101
More resolution or really demanding effects that makes almost 0 difference, buying brand new components is only for those who have the money and want that little difference, not what cucksole shitposters want you to think

That pic was in a "Why is Keira so oily" gaming forum topic btw, lol

Sorry but you're nowhere near toaster status.
My build is 5 years old with a 7870 and I don't even feel qualified to use the word toaster yet.

Good point, I don't have a 4K monitor.
Would you suggest it or is it just the hype?

oh wait I lied. it's been so long since I did her side quest I guess I just forgot how she looked. She really is oily.

Honestly, it can get addicting, especially if you enjoy the process. I really like building/assembling things. Arcade Cabs, kit cars, drones, alternative sport gear, etc.
But lets get specific, for games it's simply the down to who has the biggest dick, knowing you have a huge ass dick, and using that big ass dick.

Overcompensating for something?
>>343188409
I recommend you to go to any shop with monitors playing and try to watch the difference, I suppose the employes there won't be so stupid that they run a 1080p video on a 4k screen.
Also, you can consider 144 Hz monitors, mainly if you're into competitive gaiming, and the same recommendation as before, use any mean you have to see them working.
>>343188101
For me the most important settings have to deal with getting as many npc's and creatures on screen as possible. I have no problem reducing other settings to get the max numbers of characters on screen with good fps. That's my autistic approach.
>>343188640
Actually I use my oldish LCD tv as the monitor for the vidya like W3 right now, so I don't think that a 144Hz monitor would be the best for my gamings anyway.

Its fun, plus not all developers optimize so well.
CDProket red are awesome developers.

I don't get it, the movement is smooth it just have a stutter every 3 seconds.

>when playing at 1080p it runs Witcher 3 at 30-50 FPS, only hits 60 when looking straight at the sky in a very lightweight area no matter what settings i use

the reduction in input latency is insignificant when you get up to those framerates especially if you're using a controller, unless you're really into playing FPS games with mouse and keyboard, which is fucking old
>>343189208
supposedly poor cpu will affect fps negatively in cities

Does this make you elitists angry?

I have an i5-4460, so maybe that's probably it.
It doesn't stutter in Blood and Wine though, that's why it baffles me.
>>343189554
>"No, actually," Len de Gracia replied. "We also got really organised. It's like a fresh development. Blood and Wine we literally started from scratch. The mistakes we went through, in terms of perhaps optimisation before, we have covered them.
>"For example: before, each and every prop had its own texture; this might require another draw-call or so. It impacts performance. But this time around we know we're going to group these things together so you have them representing same texture now, so we're loading less but maximising the quality at the same time."

Thanks, I thought it was my rig.
