How accurate is this chart
>>343183149
0/10 just for having SC1 less popular than SC2
Oh, I just noticed dota 2.
not at all
t: above average dota2 player. i think rts are the most difficult to play well, then quake, then cs, then dotas, then fighting games.
>>343183149
Almost as wrong as it could be. Fighting games should automatically be at the right corner.
The other games have good teams that come and go, proving that the skillcap is very reachable within a low amount of time, but the fighting games (most notably SF) have veterans from early 2000 still dominating because they're so much ahead.
>>343183149
Blazblue is way more difficult than SF
>>343183149
SC2 requires a bit more skill than SC1?
>>343183149
Not even slightly right
Cs go has a decently high skill ceiling desu senpai.
>rng recoil
All of the weapons have a spray pattern you can learn to control. There is some deviation for individual bullets obviously like any shooter but you can minimalize this through standing still, crouching, and not being shot.
>>343183149
I'd put RTS and fighting games above Dota in terms of hardness
Classic games like Starcraft, CS 1.6 and Warcraft this far below considering the highest peak.
You clearly didn't play in 2000-2005 did you OP?
>>343183149
>Fighting games less difficult than any moba
Just fucking kill yourself, f.a.m.
I think the chart should be expanded to the right so that Guilty Gear can be shown.
>>343183149
>Dota highest skill
This must be a joke.
>>343183149
Is this by butthurt dota fan.
Dota and LoL are literally the same fucking game, can't be on the opposite pole. Also both are fucking easy. Basically RTS with 1 unit
>>343183149
>dota most difficult game
lmao, man controlling one unit sure is hard
>in b4 meepo, in b4 bearman
>>343183586
While I agree the chart specifically states SFIV which was actually incredibly difficult to play purely because of the amount of bullshit. That didn't make it good or require that much skill in fighters compared to an actual good series, but it was fucking hard because of just how much lab time it took.
>>343183793
I'm addition to do well in comp play is CS GO, there is a lot of map knowledge, and proper mouse movements to know.
If you're on CT and bomb was spotted you have to know the map well enough to predict where the other team will plant with their remaining time. And then you need to know the map will enough to predict the spots the other team will use to hold the site. And in aiming and especially sniping there are a lot of proper mouse movements you need to have down. Called a flick, you need to scope in know how far to move your mouse to get on target and when to fire during that movement. All in under a second.
>>343183793
>>343184030
It's compared to the other games dumbass. Literally every other FPS has that stuff and far more because you and the enemy are actually moving while you're shooting.
>>343183149
why the fuck is blazblue there.
like i get SF4, because it's Street Fighter, but who fucking cares about Blazblue

t. 1k shitters
If the game is so easy, why aren't you out winning the tournament? Yeah, exactly kid. Dota 2 is a game for enlightened individuals like me who have incredible mental discipline, something that you wouldn't understand to have since you idiots are still in your primitive form.
>>343183428
See me in 3S
Not even close. Clearly made by some dota fag. WC3 is definitely not harder or more skilled than either SCs.
>No Unreal Tournament
KYS
Fighting Games>RTS>arena shooters like Quake>Rhythm games>Shmups>MOBAs
>>343184229
why would i do that when i use my time to play much more challenging games
Dota has random crits.
League has team comp. If you're talking absolute skill, 1v1 quake/UT/UT2K4 deathmatch or instagib. Maps are mostly mirrored, everyone starts with the same, high tick rate in LAN/Network play, you literally need to outskill your opponent to win.
You can retort with RTS and MOBAs needing APM and shit, but aiming ults in an RTS format is like aiming at a barn door compared to the pixel precision you need to be competent in a twitch shooter like Quake.
Don't even lump in the current "twitch" shooter bullshit like DOOM, love the singleplayer, multiplayer is garbo.
>>343184136
>far more because you and the enemy are actually moving while you're shooting
I think recoil control is equally as hard as strafe shooting in other FPS
Additionally CS:GO also has a tactical component that no other FPS has on this scale
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MifzABy3gGI
>>343184440
nope it actually goes
Fighting Games > Shmups > Rhythm games > RTS > Arena shooters > MOBAs
>>343184643
Don't even add CS:GO to a skill list when weapon fire is in an RNG based "pattern." Same reason DotA shouldn't even be considered for the random crit bullshit.
>>343184751
yeah, i could them in that order too
>>343183149
>It's a Quakefaggots circlejerk about how great their game is thread
Fuck off neckbeards.
>>343183149
Nah, DotA 2 isn't hard, you just have to spend hundreds of hours memorizing all the mechanics, heroes, skills, items and builds, after which you just have to keep up with the meta.
It's still a broken, unbalanced mess of a game and it always will be. People can't even agree on what to call it's genre.
It is the definition of a meme game.
>>343183149
>no Siege
Your chart a shit, OP.
>>343184853
>last played: today
You need to snap out of it, man.
This could be an ok bait image if it wasn't for DotA 2 being more popular than Hearthstone and the same popularity as League of Legends.
League of Legends is way more popular than DotA 2 and Hearthstone is slightly more popular.
>>343184643
I mean yeah but other games don't see strafe shooting as an actual skill, it's just something you do like walking or jumping.
Honestly what exactly is the point of the recoil in CSGO anyways? Having mastered it effectively means you're playing the game as if it wasn't in the game in the first place, so it brings nothing to the table strategically.
>>343183149
>Luck is a skill guys!
>>343183149
>Dota 2
>anywhere near as popular at LoL
>higher skill ceiling than Starcraft
Is this what dotards actually believe?
>>343184914
I try to get out, and they keep pulling me back in.I don't play online anymore, I just play coop vs bots as meepo and ruin the game for the other 4 faggots by steam-rolling the bots so hard they do nothing but over-compensate massively to my presence wherever I go by sending their entire team at me
>>343183149
>SC1 lower than SC2
you fucked up
>>343184979
>I mean yeah but other games don't see strafe shooting as an actual skill, it's just something you do like walking or jumping.
Well the skill is to kill your opponent faster than he kills you isn't it? So perfecting strafe shooting/recoil control makes you a better player
>fighting games
>hard
Do I need to find that video of the baby beating some fighting game
>>343185441
>beating an AI is the same as beating a person
You're a retard. If fighting games are so easy I guess you'll beat me first time at any one we play, with your superior skills from much more taxing genres.
>>343185441
>single player mode
yeah, that's we judge fighting game difficulty on!
>>343185441
We're talking about skill ceiling, anon. Not skill floor.
>>343184979
>>343184979
Just another mechanic to master, to show skilled cs unskilled shooting. Without it people could spray and pray randomly and get as many kills as someone who's taken the time to learn the game.
But if you're spraying in csgo, you're already doing something wrong.
But there's more to the game than just shooting. You need to have team communication and organization, map control and money management as well.
>>343183149
>Different genres on the same graph.
>Implying card games, RTS, fighting games, MOBAs, and shooters belong on the same graph at any time.
You made this graph just to get replies, didn't you?
>>343183149
>Source so far ahead of GO
sounds like butthurt my man
>>343186198
Where did you even find Source you retarded GO shiller?
