Where where you when AMD disappointed yet again?
>>343180327
eh?
they said it was an affordable midrange card and it is?
I don't see the problem here?

>barely faster than a stock 970

so?
this isn't meant to be a high tier card that can fight he 1070/1080
being on par with a 970 is perfectly fine
>>343180572
It utilizes dx12 better though so it is the better buy
It also comes with a FULL 4gb of ram or 8 gb if you want more
On top of that we have not seen the 1060 benchmarks which is the 480's competitor

It runs AoTS and Hitman better, both AMD titles.
But yes, it's decent value, just rather underwhelming in terms of performance.
And it runs hot and overclocks poorly.

the stock version runs hot and overclocking is a meme

I agree a bit there since I expected it to be a bit more powerful. But either way the future dx12/vulkan titles will push it above the 970 and near a 980 in terms of framerates.
Still waiting on a 490

0.2Nvidia$ has been disposed...
>>343180327
incoming 970 salt
>>343180572
970 has been around $400 until now, I was debating on getting one like last month
>>343180327
>Only 30% faster compare to my 280x.
This is not worth it at all.
>>343180327
What does it matter how powerful a card is if the card itself can't run games period because of drivers. I don't get people who buy AMD. Like why.
0 times anything is still zero
>>343180572
More like 200 dollarus cheaper tbhfamilia
