the entire game is gear based, all you do is grind and grind on the same repetitive boringness until you get a drop. But even then the drops are so miniscule and rare that it will take you litterarly days to get them and make a decent amount of money. Let alone the RNG of having your items break if you fail.

Game is fucking garbage, the devs are braindead and have no idea what they're doing, the rebalances make the game WORSE than KR, servers are trash and desync is horrible, PvP has been carebear'd, Large Scale PvP (Node Wars included) is a zergfest, and the game is skilless and gear based as fuck, which requires permagrind, and if you stop grinding like an autismo you will forever be stuck behind the curve. Never going back to that piece of shit.
Cause after realizing all bosses hold cero challenge whatsoever and getting stuck in having to grind the manticores evermore, coupled with the fact any and all new armors are released as paid content, the game lost its luster cause I realized there was nothing to aim for.
No new armors to get, no new skins to achieve, no new weapons to get and exploring new areas being pointless because none would ever be challenging to begin with due to localizer fear of ever making things hard for people in the west for some reason.

I kinda had the same experience except i started to actually go through all the content. Playing with my friends helped a lot but eventually i just got annoyed with the overly complicated system they put in place. It went from "this is fun to figure out" to "do i really have to do all this shit just to make or do or get this what a fucking waste of my time" and i just dropped it basically got bored.

The fucking draw distance was pathetic and drop me insane leading to dropping the game out of frustration.. Even in hi end mode it was terrible. Everywhere you go characters literally popping up 10 feet from you and most of the time they were just grey/black silhouettes until they where 5 feet from you. grass distance was fucking awful you move one foot and every peace of grass between you and 500 yards away changes textures.
their in house engine is fucking terrible dropping everything for character textures to fap to the more you zoom in the more detailed your character is so much so your fps will drop like 20 frames. Bunch of fuckin retards. never buying anything from these idiots again

I dont know why games with interesting action combat have to make everything so boring. Fight the same monster that use the same boring moves 30,000 times so you can then fight the same monster that uses the same moves but is colored differently and has a little bit more health 50,000 times.
There are so many games that do it better but have awful combat. I just dont get it.
the combat system is really fun, but the meta game of grind for 12 hours to get 2 rings to gamble on and then break them is tiresome.
end game content is highly lackluster and the only reason to keep grinding is to not get gibbed in pvp by a sorc with more AP than you.

Vindictus is korean, it has nice combat that rewards the player for getting gud.
And lately gear progressing was made easier but not casual-tier. You still gotta grind for that +1
Bosses are fun, interesting, ost is blast, combat is very fluid ( not counting few annoying bugs ). I find hurk,karok and lynn very fun characters to play as. Some are boring left clickers like that korean popstart guy or vella.
Nothing is more satysfying than learning boss enemy attack pattern, hitboxes and dodging it with 0.17 i-frame while everyone is ded and looking at you with all those cloth and hair physics flying around.
I played BDO until just last week. If you don' grind for 5-10 hours a day you won't be competitive in PvP. Node wars are fucked, Daum have shown time and time again they are terrible at publishing their own game.
They never know when they're going to release anything. For example a few days ago valencia came out, which is half the landmass of the entire game. The night before they said they didn't know when they'd get it, then the next day they release it.
There's fuck loads of bugged, after almost 5 months of this game being out the servers are still fucked.
On top of all that though is the grind difference. If you're not on 5-10 hours a day every day you get left behind and can't do PvP, the only fun thing in the game.
Thank God I'm free, I can actually play other games that are fun and not feel guilty about not playing this shit all the time.
