Ranked Overwatch reminds me of the Iron Banner events in Destiny. Playing solo you go up against premade teams non stop. Only solution is to get some friends or make some new friends. You can try and carry a pub team but you're going to hate life.

In PTR, I went 3/10 and was ranked 46.
Today on live, I went 6/10 and was ranked 52.
In both cases, the matchmaking got noticeably more even after getting my ranking. 5/6 or 6/6 in voice in every game too, at least to listen.

There are several reasons for this being the way things are, stream culture and the prevalence of solo-queuing being the primary ones. Basically, streamers got popular for being good enough to carry teams by themselves, so everyone acts like the ability to shit on low ranking pub players is impressive and important. And then, it's just plain fucking tough to actually have a full team of people you play the game with frequently, people have lives, other hobbies, and even other games to play. Solo queue is home for most people, but they still want to "rank up" for whatever insipid reason, and until we can build a system intelligent enough to determine how well a player actually played without only looking at raw numbers or the binary win/lose state, this shit is what we get.

I belive genji is genuinely stealth OP, but no one realizes it because everyone who plays is a shitter complaining about mei and bastion.
It's not even his damage output (which is insane), it's his super safe playstyle. Yeah he has low hp, but if he goes in and kills one person, he instantly has an escape again, not to mention he has an escape every 8 seconds anyways and a "can't shoot me" button every 8 seconds too that lasts 2 seconds. He's super safe and with some minor practice, I started completely annihilating teams with him.
His only main counter is basically winston (just like widowmaker). Everyone and everything else that's considered a counter to him he can avoid unless the entire enemy team is those characters in which case you've won because your team will probably steamroll them.
All they would need to do to fix him is remove the free CD reduction on kills and make his deflect only last 1second, keeping all of his possible damage and animation canceling in tact. At least then he wouldn't be so easy and safe to play.
It basically feels like just a slower version of Quickplay. In Quickplay I can exit out my game as soon as it's over.

Cooldown on double jump and can only wall climb after a double jump or if double jump is not on cd. If the goal is to make him less safe, then a significant nerf to his mobility will do more than anything else. Keep in mind that his job is essentially the same as Tracer's, he just does it a bit differently, so him having the ability to zip around isn't a bad thing, it's his incredible vertical maneuverability that causes problems. If jumping hitboxes weren't so fucking stupid in this game it wouldn't be that big of a problem, though.

Genji has the same Play of the Game problem that many heroes do. People who don't play the tend to see the POTG and think "that's how you play them". Nope. I'm 3 losses and 3 wins so far
2 of the losses were full of people bitching about the team when they had the lowest scores and weren't doing shit. one was a hanzo the whole match onattack. Third loss I don't mind, we stopped the enemy from reaching the end of the payload map and we started strong, but then everyone switched off onto their "mains" and everything went south. They still tried and nobody bitched about it so it was a nice game

Having played a ton of SC2 ladder, Blizzard uses an algorithm that takes a lot of games to calibrate your actual mmr so it may be setting you too high to begin with.

I would not complain about snipers on attack if I ever got matched with one. The 2nd attack had a bastion just demolishing our team, while I was reinhardt. So obviously i couldn't do shit as he was elevated and in a good corner. And nobody on our team even tried to go for him until I suggested a different hanzo switch to genji and go for the bastion. And they did, but they weren't very good at it even though I told them the general good way to do it but at least they tried. The bitchy hanzo was a bitch, and some other retard switched to bastion and then complained I wasn't on his ass shielding him the whole fucking match. In a few of my games, I've sat the games out after the enemy lost a player, making it effectively 5v5. Now, we won all those games in the end, but the enemy team were always thankful for the good sportsmanship.
