Weapon ring was in Plat demo. D pad is manual weapon switch. When you manually switch all the weapons are shown too and you see him grab the weapon from the ring. Using phantom sword also shows all the weapons circle around him and him grabbing them using them one by one.
In 2013 battle trailer which was confirmed today to be done by Tabata we see Noctis slam Niflheim soldier into a car. All the other 2013 abilities we thought was gone resurfaced in the recent footage too like that iron giant parry.

Somnus is literally used in every demo, multiple ATRs for both the vocal and orchestral version and they even started the Uncovered event with Sakaguchi coming on stage while Somnus played. Somnus also has leitmotifs throughout the game like in the dawn trailer song and is also specifically mentioned by Tabata during E3 to be used in a very important way. Stand By me is the theme song which is only going to be played once during the game.
Weapon switching while weapons are spinning is seen when switching weapons both manually and when using phantom sword. and whatever hand to hand combat was ever seen once XV is still there.
