Why don't more shooters allow you to shoot while sprinting?

What do you think this is, Quake? Games similar to Call of Duty are intentionally slow paced. That includes having to stop running (and aim down your sights) to shoot. If you want to have fun and go fast look elsewhere than those kind of shooters.

Titanfall already is pretty loose about movement-- it has double jumping and wallrunning and you can shoot while doing both. It's fine.
