VR is probably going to go the way of motion control. It's going to be a major hit on one platform (like the wii with motion control). Every company is going to hop on the bandwagon but none will be as successful. really well. im actually quite fuckin schocked how good watching vr porn was. it was like discovering porn for the first time. most of the vanilla hardcore shit is kinda lame. the more interesting videos have some sensuality to them. the effect is really amazing when the subject is up close to you. so scenes of a girl sitting in front of you staring into your eyes and doing a strip tease is great. its creepy how it feels like shes right in your face for real. you can look up and see her face staring at you, or glance down and see her half naked body sitting inches across from you. pretty crazy.
it will take some time, however, for more amaetuer and alternative stuff to show up. that is what im waiting for. they can get so extreme with this shit like make a fake snuff film from your POV.

If there's one thing that I'm greatly disappointed at the current VR games, is that from what I have seen, you can't really move around but rather teleport from spot to spot.
I know that it can cause some headaches (from what I've been told) or something but come on, at least give us an option to move around freely like in Metroid prime 3 or something. The first thing I was hoping was moving from one place to another like you're actually walking/running and not teleporting.

I have never had this happen to me. The worst thing to happen with my wii was when my sister tripped over my gamecube controller cord while I was playing smash, causing it to fall down.
