Industry hasn't really grown and has degenerated instead.
There was a time that developers went out of their own way to co-operate with fans to deliver a better, more complete ending to a cRPG saga (David Gaider before neo-Bioware). A time where developers packed as much shit as they can before they released a game and packed even more shit into their expansions for a market standard acceptable and affordable price.
Now? Cheat codes have become DLC. Multiplayer for some games use P2P instead of dedicated servers. Modding has become atrocious and hardly supported. Selling sets of bite sized DLC that are pound for pound worth less than straight up expansions.
Gaming is a struggling hobby my friend.

My nigga I wish Gunz 2 wouldn't have died so quickly but I guess it was to be expected when they removed K-style. Biggest issue I had with Gunz was the hit detection was awful. You could hear the hit sound multiple times only to see you did 0 damage.
