Honestly, the Sonic Boom designs aren't bad. I just think they'd have worked better in 2D rather than 3D (especially since the animation looks rather cheap, especially in liquid effects [e.g. the nacho cheese and grape soda that Sonic and Knuckles pour on Amy's couch in the game show episode]).

They are different variations.
And 4's elite, jackal and grunts were totally fine by me and I think 4 is dogshit otherwise concerning the campaign and most designs.
The elites in particular had goofy proportions in Reach comparitively.

Both shows were incredibly similar to the point where it's likely one of the creators stole the idea from the other.
Both shows are about an asian american kid who through their blood line is tasked as a guardian and peacekeeper of magical affairs.
Both Jake and Juniper are tasked because of a generational skip where their grandparent was the former guardian but their child never inherited the role.
Both characters have a talking dog side kick, though ones a pug and the other is bulldog which is still pretty damn close.
Both characters have a younger sibling who share their powers.
Outside of Jake transforming, it was pretty much the same show but with the core characters outside of the dogs genderswapped.
