You can pay to get new mechs early and you can pay to get special variants of mechs that reward more credits but few or none are considered top tier. Also if you sub you get increased credit gain.
When you make a new account you get a shitload of credits for your first 25 games, but after that its really slow so make sure you know what mech you want.
If you fuck up and get something you don't like with your initial credits you can just make a new account.
to fully max out a mech you have to unlock its other variants and level them up which takes a lot of credits and potentially extra mech bays which can be considered p2w.
