I won't feel bad for getting used to it. Sunk plenty of hours into Monster Hunter and Star Trek Online, both of which have a quick and convenient sort button. Its one of those mini-rewards that get me hooked into a game.

All people ever do anyway is just sort items by field. So having 10 other options was pretty dumb. Should have put that time into sorting Materia, which actually does need to be sorted by attack, support, command, etc.
