It is the epitome of game design.
Using art to make the gameplay more interesting + give good visual feedback from interaction.
Using lore to make gameplay more interesting through context.
Now we just need a game that can mix everything as well as they did with bloodborne but also includes narrative.
Narrative is the literal only weak point in bloodborne but that is only because it was designed without.

Netcode is worse than das2 and 3. If you invade randoms it often turns 15 minute long snorefests until someone runs out of blood vials unless you're strong enough to 2shot them.
I only PvP in fight clubs where that's not an issue but to people who aren't into that it's pretty bad.

I'm torn. Another game is completely unnecessary in terms of the story since the whole shift from fighting beasts to cosmic horror wouldn't work a second time, but more Bloodborne with added improvements would be incredible.

I'm one of those PC fats that bought a PS4 for this one game. Glad I did too because it's the best souls game and the only souls game to actually be different. Hope there is a sequel in the future or even more DLC honestly.

I'd be interested in Bloodborne 2 is it took place WAY into the future. Like a good 50-100 years. That way we see more advanced technology/guns being used, but everything is still fucked up and destroyed and mutating due to some new pandemic. Like imagine a 1930s style paris inspired environment that all of a sudden has a break out of some new blood curse and you got to go there to stop it or something.

Well it is grim dark but that doesn't mean grim dark can't be done well. Only other game to surpass BB's artistic direction is VtMB. The game uses H.P Lovecraft, Frankensteinian, Victorian-era and steampunk as influences and will naturally be very grim dark.
I have to admit BB has been fantastic so far especially after being a bit disappointed with DaS3.

I think that it's a good thing that Bloodborne didn't have a clearcut narrative, and I think that putting that in a game like Bloodborne would have reduced it's worth. Not that narrative can't improve a game, just that Bloodborne is better off without it.

I finished Dark Souls 2 yesterday but didn't play the DLCs because I feel burnt out on the game.

That's only three areas though and one of those is both optional and incredibly small.
It would have been nice to have gotten more focus on the cosmic stuff after Rom. The DLC makes up for this but it's still kinda lacking.
