I also liked Motherload. There were more interesting ones but I've forgotten, one being this multiplayer strategy game with a chess layout. The graphics were very dark save for some gold and gray trim, and you unlocked different units with very unique abilities as you played. It was on the front of addictinggames for a long long time.
