Hiveswap is already in worse shape than MN9. Since the Kickstarter, the team put all the money raised into King's Quest while doing the absolute minimum for Hiveswap, were laid off, and the whole project started over from near scratch with a new engine, team and budget.

In the end the problem is people look at kickstarter like a preorder system, when the reality is it's an investment. Sometimes you make a bad investment and see nothing come from it, but that's okay. You should not think a game is guaranteed when you give them your money.
