EO3 had a lot going for it, but I greatly preferred 2/2U and 4. Molten Caves was pretty weak and I didn't care for the 2nd battle theme which they made you listen to for 4 out of the 6 stratums.
Sailing was greatly improved upon by the air balloon too, I never would have finished all of the sea quests without a guide because it felt like too much of a trial and error timesink
